VHF (Online course)

An online course and exam for anyone who owns a fixed or handheld marine VHF radio. A radio is an important piece of safety equipment on board and it is vital to understand the correct procedures. The Short Range Certificate is the minimum qualification required by law to control the operation of VHF and VHF Digital Selective Calling (DSC) equipment on any British flagged vessel voluntarily fitted with a radio either fixed or hand held.
 
The price of the course includes the RYA VHF handbook which will be posted to you.   Your log in details will be e-mailed to you within 48 hours during the week.
 
You must apply directly to the RYA for an exam which will be held in our classroom in Fleetwood. You can apply here: https://www.rya.org.uk/exams. The cost of the exam is £70 which is directly payable to the RYA.
